Vector portrait of man and an owl

vector portrait

DESCRIPTION: A vector portrait of Patrick Doyle at Zoo Atlanta in front of the Snowy Owl exhibit.

PURPOSE: The portrait is a clean and simple digital recreation of a photograph. The styling with shadow emphasis enhances the resemblance between the man and the owl's similar expressions.

ROLE: To complete the portrait, I selected a photograph I took and used it as my template in Illustrator. I applied my own custom background, transforming the scene to night. I used Adobe's Kuler to select a color palette based on the photograph's natural colors.
